We have 10 days in September to fish and hike in Croatia. ( he loves hiking I. Love fishing) we will want to stop in Dubrovnik and is leaning towards southern Dalmatia. Also have read up on Vis . Which sounds amazing. First trip to Croatia coming here after 5 days in Crete . Any suggestions on where to stay and where to visit would be great . Also love great wine and good seafood.

Where are you flying in and out?
Dubrovnik, Korcula, and Vis would be great for ten days, with an arrival at Dubrovnik and departure from Split (which may require last night in Split or Trogir).
If flying out of Dubrovnik, I would skip Vis and consider the Peljesac area, Mljet, Lastovo and do a loop out of Dubrovnik.
Fishing requires a license, that is literally the only thing I know--I would inquire with a tourist office if you are looking to do a charter or something like that.
