Has anyone heard of or used a tour company called "Secret Dalmatia"? It came up in a Twitter article about Croatia and it looks like it is a group that has a variety of tours and experiences to offer both in Croatia and other surrounding countries. One experience that was highlighted was dinner in the home of a woman and her husband who were chefs. I have been interested in going to Croatia and Slovenia for a while and was considering this as a beginning place. Let me know if you know anything about this group. Thanks.

Jerry, I found these guys a couple of years ago and booked a trip with them. I was a little nervous because I paid everything up front and was worried about being scammed. That said, I got comfortable by talking to the founder, Alan Mandic. Alan is a Croatian who was educated in the U.S. And is a great guy. The bottom line is that these guys do a great job. They surpassed expectations in all aspects of our trip. What they do is generally higher end though you can customize as you like. All details are worked out for you, so you don't have to sweat the logistics. In fact, we are in the early stages of planning another trip and will certainly use them again.

Paul, there is no scams in Croatia. None of I know.
Locals and agencies asking money in front as they are small agencies. They have small capacity and every ticket is valuable to them. they can not rely on bookings without advanced payment. Hope this clears the picture.
