We are planning to take the ferry from Split to Hvar and spend the night. Would our rental car be safe in the ferry terminal parking, or is there any secure parking near the ferry terminal in Split?

We debated this on our trip last year....and ultimately decided to use the car ferry into Hvar - there were 3 a day.
I was leery of having a car parked in ANY lot that wasn't mine.....
