Ryanair cancellation from Zadar

I had a flight from Zadar to Dublin in September, it's been cancelled, unsurprisingly. What is surprising was how early they did this. I see there are no more Zadar to Dublin flights at all for the entire year, at least now.

Trying to get my refund but of course there are errors every time I submit it. Once though it did say there were too many refund requests and try again later. At least that was honest.

Fun times.

After 5 days of trying and about 2 dozen errors I finally am in the queue to get my refund.

If you used a credit card with a travel insurance benefit you may also be able to submit a claim for reimbursement. You can also likely dispute the charge. I've successfully done both in the past regarding cancellations.

I think part of the issue is that even though they cancelled the flight and it is a long way off, they are busy dealing with others that have flights leaving much sooner. Maybe just relax, sit on your hands, and call, I don't know, maybe in four months or so, no need to clog up the lines now for a trip 6 months out.

Never called a phone line, all online. Not clogging up anything. However with uncertainty in the industry I do think it’s important to get your money back before you’re not able to get your money because the airline goes under.

Not so concerned with Ryanair (should I be?) but I have a few other flights I’m ultimately expecting not to get my money back on. All my bad timing doing 5 flights on 5 different airlines over a 17 day period.

In case anyone is interested still no sign of a refund or a notification of that my refund is processed. I did have an e-mail saying please be patient with the process. I'm on no hurry to get my money, just want to be assured it's coming.

My "refund in process" has been changed to a voucher good to book travel until April 18th/2021. Not exactly helpful to a person from North America who like can't book travel plans that quickly.

I can "request a refund" but good luck figuring out how to do that, I haven't been able to yet. I know I can phone in but honestly there are plenty of people with more dire situations than my couple of hundred Euros.

Of course, viability of airlines to issue refunds may become an issue.
