Hello, planning a solo trip in Eastern Europe mid-Sept to mid-Oct. Will be traveling by train for the most part but I know this is not easily done in Croatia and I want to avoid long bus rides. Looking for ferry or cruise option traveling from Rovinj to Split. If anyone has any recommendations, I would be most grateful for the share. Thanks!

How much time do you have to make the journey?
There is no ferry that departs Rovinj going to Split, but if you have time to break up the journey, you could transit to Losinj (get there via Rijeka, or possibly Pula--lots of legwork to do) then on to Zadar by sea and then continue by bus.

The easiest option is probably to break up the trip over land by bus, unless you do find a cruise option.
