Any advice or feedback on the ferry from Rovinj, Croatia to Venice, Italy. The Friday 7:30am departure/10:45am arrival (in September 2024) works for me, but I am concerned about disruptions in the schedule. Does the ferry generally leave and arrive on time? Is it subject to cancellation for weather or other reasons? If I want to schedule something later in the day in Venice, how much time should I allow before confirming tickets?

We haven’t taken that ferry in a few years but we have taken ferries all up and down the coast the past 5 years. They always arrive on time and leave on time.
We were here last September, in Rijeka which is near Rovinj, and the weather was still warm, just a light sweater, no storms.
We are here now and it is still very hot. Rain was predicted for tonight but nothing so far. Hopefully tomorrow so it will cool off a little.
