We are traveling to The Dalmatian Coast in mid May for 10 days. We will be in Split a few days with side trips to Klis Fortress, Krka NP, and Omis. We will then spend a few days on Korcula, with a potential day trip to Mljet. We will spend a couple of nights in Dubrovnik before flying home. My question is about a rental car. We are active and plan on hiking and cycling mostly. We are considering a rental car while in Split. Should we hold on to it until reaching Dubrovnik? Any other places we should try to squeeze in if possible?

It would make trips to klis, krka, and omis easier, but I’m 50-50 on keeping the car after that. You could take the car ferry to Vela Luka and then drive to Korcula town, giving you the option to drive all over the island, then drop when you get to Dubrovnik. It’s getting pretty tight, I don’t think you could add anything else.
