We just made the decision to make Trogir our home base for 4 nights instead of Split to avoid the 3000++ daily cruise passengers and to avoid what Rick says in his Croatia&Slovenia guidebook “the worst nighttime noise of any destination in this book, bring earplugs and always ask for a quiet room ( if possible)” We also want to experience Trogir, the “gem” that we have read about. Rick’s book just lightly touches on Trogir so I would love any suggestions for where to go for meals and to buy some groceries as we are staying in an apartment with a fantastic sea view! Many thanks for any advice and/or recommendations!
Are you on the mainland, the small island that the old town Trogir is on,
or the larger island?
Studenac is the mini-mart type store where you can get some necessities,
but more snacks and beverages. Plodine, Tommy, and Konzum are the
larger, more full-service stores. Google Maps should be able to tell you
the closest to your apartment.
I took a quick look and across the inlet along the main drag near the bus station
there is a cluster of supermarkets.
