How much rain should I expect in Croatia in August both on the coast and in the national parks? Also, what weight of jacket would you recommend?

If you want to find the weather records and average rainfall, Wikipedia.com has charts in virtually every large city in the World.
Zagreb averages getting rain 10 days in August totaling about 3.5 inches. That's not too bad.
Average nighttime temperatures are 57 degrees F., and average daytime temperatures are 79 degrees F.
