Six hours is about right. Get there early to avoid the crowds. Wear shoes that can get a little wet. Bring your camera. Enjoy!

Six hours is fine. The key thing is for those hours not to be sonething like 10 AM to 4 PM when you'll be sharing the massively crowded walkways with thousands of other daytrippers. You need to spend the night in or near the park so you you can be there when it opens. It has been reported that conditions aren't bad late in the afternoon, so it's possible to see part of the park late on your arrival day and finish up the next morning.

Start with the section with the wooden walkways and the series of small waterfalls, then proceed to the section of the park with the footpaths.
