Hi I am planning to go to Krka park and Plitivice park. I have been advised to do one or the other by a guidebook. Plitivice is more costly with hotel and entrance fees, but it looks amazing.
Thoughts on this?

I’ve done both. Plitvice IS a bigger wow, but Krka is very scenic also. I’d say do what works best with the rest of your itinerary. I had several weeks so it fit fine for me to see both. If you have plenty of time, nothing wrong with seeing both. But with limited time (or limited budget), choose the one that fits in best with everywhere else you plan to go.

We thought that Plitvice was more impressive than Krka. But you have to get there early. We spent the previous night in Slunj, and loved walking around Rastoke. Krka was very nice but not as dramatic. We spent 3 wonderful nights in Skradin,

I am a bit worried you are only going because the book said to go to one. If you arent excited about one or the other, spend the time seeing things that you do get excited about. We are all different, for me Plitvice was "interesting", but glad i saved it for my 3rd trip. Never bern to Krka, but did go to Kravica and was perfect for me cause I could dive in.
