Please may I have suggestions of this 10 day itinerary end September

To adults + 50 with rental car (experience driving in Europe)

Fly into Zagreb from Paris spend the evening. (one r two?)

Drive to Rovinj (two nights)

Drive to Plitvice stay near Park ( one night) and visit Park early. Leave by noon.

Drive to Split(two nights)

drive to Dubrovnik (two nights) return to Paris

  • We would then spend another 2 nights along the coast and would like to know where you recommend. We could spend the nights consecutively or separate.

We just like to walk, have good wine and coffee, take pictures, and not necessarily relax on beaches or take boat rides.

Sorry, but this is far too rushed a trip to be enjoyable, with too many short stops.

I would arrive in Zagreb at a sensible hour and drive straight to Plitvice c 2 hours away, assuming that you aren't coming directly from a transatlantic flight via Paris and suffering jetlag. If you maybe jet lagged, have the first night in Zagreb.

Istria is nice, but it's in the opposite direction to most of your itinerary and 2 nights isn't long enough to do it justice - I wouldn't consider going here for less than 4 nights, so drop Rovinj.

Plitvice is usually a c 4 hour visit then it's a 3 hour drive to Split.

Split itself deserves a full day and nearby Trogir is another day, especially if combined with a few hours exploring this coast. So 3 nights in Split or 4 nights if you want to take the boat to Hvar for the day.

Drive to Omis or Markaska for a couple of nights on the coast. Drive to Dubrovnik and drop the car on arrival as it's a disadvantage having a car there. Possible day trip to one of the islands from Dubrovnik.
