We've decided not to bother with rental cars for a good portion of our trip starting June 25th since we will be in and out of Croatia too often to make it seamless. If anyone can help with any piece of our **transportation needs**, that would be fantastic. What do you recommend, given our itinerary as follows: Dubrovnik to Medjugorge; Medjugorge to Korcula; Korcula to Plitvice Lakes; Plitvice Lakes to Split; Split to Llubljana. Once we get to Llubljana we do pick up a rental car for four days to tour Slovenia. Again, any recommendations with any of our transportation needs would be truly appreciated.
Korcula to Plitvice to Split to Ljubljana is a time-consuming order which involves a lot of backtracking. Consider Korcula - Split - Plitvice - Ljubljana instead to eliminate wasting too much time on travel. There are buses from Split to Zagreb running through Plitvice. Stop in Plitvice and then continue the journey when you are done with the park. In Zagreb, you can change to a bus or train to Ljubljana.
Thanks, I think you are right. I actually cut out Korcula entirely, it's too much traveling. We are going to spend those two days in Mostar instead. I am actually more excited about Mostar than Korcula. We'll be unwinding in Rovinj for three nights later in the trip, so I think we can spare Korcula, as nice as it may be.
