Can anyone suggest a nice place for my wife and I to stay for two nights at Plivice National Park. we will have a car.
Our budget per night is $60-$125 per night.
thank you
Andrew
We stayed at the Plitvice Miric Inn in September 2019. We paid 130 euros which included a magnificent home-made breakfast buffet, probably one of the best we have had. It is not inside the park, but it is only a 5-minute ride from Entrance 2. I have heard the hotels inside the park are not very nice, and the food is not very good.
When we were there, Plitvice offered a delicious dinner for an additional 20 euros per person. It was one of our favorite meals on our trip.

If you are interested, you should ask them if they are still serving dinner. I heard that for awhile after we were there they stopped serving dinner. But then someone on another forum said they have resumed serving dinner.
Im a litte confused. You wrote " When we were there, Plitvice offered a delicious dinner for an additional 20 euros per person."
What do you mean by "Pitvice offered a dinner". What is Pitvice? A hotel? the hotel you stayed at? What was the name of the hotel you stayed in ? thanks
I apologize for not being more exact. We stayed at the Plitvice Miric Inn, and the inn offered a dinner for 20 euros per person. From what I understand, there are very few restaurants in the area. So it was very convenient to be able to have a delicious dinner at our inn.
Id love your opinion. If we cut out one night at Plitvice then we can add one more night to one of the following places
Ljubljana ( We are now staying 5 nights before heading to Split or
Split ( we are now staying 2 nights before heading to Korcula for 7 nights) or
Zagreb ( we are now staying 2 nights
I suppose we could go somewhere else but not sure where
our trip now goes
Copenhagen 3 nights
Ljubljana 5 nights
Split 2 nights
Korcula 6 nights
Pitvice 2 nights
Zagreb 2 nights
You mean, you want to cut one of the two nights you have at Plitvice so stay only one night? You can certainly do that: maybe arrive from Split and either enter the park the first afternoon and see the rest the next morning, or...spend all of the second morning and part of the afternoon in the park and get into Zagreb late. You can probably get the gist of Plitvice in about six hours.
However, I would caution you that if you get rain you might want to try to be flexible - the ability to adjust by a night one way or the other to avoid rain might greatly improve your enjoyment of the park.
If you stay at one of the official park hotels, you can get your first day's ticket stamped and re-enter the park the second day for free FYI. (At least...this used to be the policy, but I haven't been to Plitvice in a few years now.)
Songman, I replied to your PM.
