place to stay between Bled and Rovinj via Julian Alps?

Ribcev Laz at Lake Bohinj—the lake that is IN Triglav National Park. Kobarid in the Soca Valley with the Tolmin Gorges nearby. The Skocjan Caves are a must although it’s not a place to overnight.

Our trip was Rovinj to Radovlijica, From Rovinj, we had a lovely drive, stopping at Hvastolje Trinity Church,
and arriving at Skocjan Caves for our prebooked 2:00 tour. We spent the night at Camping Pivka Jama Postojna. It was nearby, inexpensive, and we had a cute cabin and the restaurant was okay. The next morning we toured Predjama Castle and Tolmin Gorge. We spent the night at Jelenov Breg Pod Matajurem, which was a bit off the beaten path but cute and we had a good dinner. Next day we walked along some of the Kobarid Trail, stopping at the waterfall and bunkers. Then we drove over the pass to Radovlijlica, stopping at some sites along the way. We spent 4 nights in Radovlijica, Make sure you have the vignette for driving in Slovenia!
