Anyone taken a special tour of the Peljesac peninsula leaving from Dubrovnik? Would like to,see Ston, smaller less touristy areas, a little wine tasting and oysters.
We have 4 nights in Dubrovnik, 1 day for the town, I day trip to Montenegro and 1 additional day to roam outside of Dubrovnik before we embark upon an multi island boat tour. So I’m considering the peninsula. I have already been to Mostar.
So what impressed you the most?
Is the cable car ride above the city worth the time and expense. Restaurant view from there looks amazing but the food appeared to be without local flair, just burgers and sandwiches.
8 Sept 22 son Ian & I took an all day wine tour from Dubrovnik's Pile Gate to Peljesac with Toni from D'Vino wine tours (see Steves Croatia re the tour and the D'Vino wine bar). 3 different, all thoroughly enjoyable, family wineries with delicious wines and gracious, friendly, authentic hosts. Vina Vukas; Mar Lais, Vina Matkovic.
Lunched on swordfish and prawns and more with a grilling chef demonstration in Trstenik. These were the 1st 3 of our at least 8 wine tastings/demonstrations in Croatia/Slovenia/Austria. We stopped in Ston on return to recharge our EV car and to relax a bit in the town.
Expense? We were in Croatia taking a private wine tour and this was a priceless experience. ab
