Hi, I know this is a Croatia forum but since it’s so close I thought some of you might have visited. We are booking a private driver to take us to Montenegro (probably Kotor) for the day when we go to Dubrovnik. Any suggestions on how we should spend the day? Specifics welcome! We will have complete flexibility. Four adults, physically fit. Thank you!

The RS guide for Croatia and Slovenia (and with some info on Montenegro) has a section, "Tours in Dubrovnik". There is a section with private drivers and some suggestions on where to go with the Montenegro's Bay of Kotor being one of them. There is a whole section on the Bay of Kotor as well. We'll be spending a day in Kotor this September and we plan on doing the Wall walk and the boat trip to Our Lady of the Rocks.

We hired Petar Vlasic as our driver, and he stopped at several places along the way. He also works with a local gentleman who we met in Kotor, and he gave us a private tour. Very worthwhile.

Herceg Novi and Perast would be my primary goals. Oh and a prosciutto curing house up the mountain on hwy P1 above Kotor called Restoran Zora. After all of that if you still have time for Kotor, fine, but no loss if you don't. If you can do dinner on the bay in Perast on the way back, that would be a plus.

We hired a private driver in September 2019 to drive us around the Bay of Kotor. I picked the destinations per my research. I chose Budva, Kotor, and Perast. We were happy with all 3 destinations. Our driver also suggested Herceg Novi but we didn't have time for 4 stops. Perast was our favorite.
