Need Help with Itineray- 17 Days July

I am needing help with our itinerary : we are traveling to Croatia this summer for my husbands 50th birthday.
We like to travel slow and enjoy the area we are staying in, we love the water, good food and history. Not a fan of crowds as we usually travel in Sept but since July is my husbands birthday and for other reason this is the only time that we can travel. So we understand that crowds will be pretty much anywhere we go. My husband is great with driving in other countries so not concerned about that. We will be flying in from Rome. I am getting overwhelmed with the options for Croatia. Our flight home is from Paris so I just need to get us to there from Croatia. Here is my rough thoughts:
What else should I add on? Hopefully this is enough information. I know that I am running against the clock on booking hotels.
3 Nights Dubrovnik- One day to explore the walls, and city. One day to explore the Lokrum Island
3 Nights Hvar- Stari Grad
3 Nights Krocula
3 Nights Split- One day to go to Krka National Park, One day to explore old city and beach.

Thanks in advance

This itinerary is totally cool, good spread of days. You would probably have trouble finding accommodations that would do less than three nights anyways. Go for it.

In Dubrovnik, Cavtat also makes a nice daytrip out of the daytime crush. Very relaxed gentile vibe over there, with some real nice beach areas.

Thanks for the feedback. Do you think we might like it better to stay in Cavtat and visit Dubrovnik from there? It seems to be a bit less and quieter which is appealing.

Thanks

You might want to look at the ferry options at Croatiaferries.com. The website has a link to purchase tickets. We always pre purchase our ferry tickets so it is one less thing to think about. It also saves you time not having to wait on line to purchase them while you are there. Especially the Dubrovnik to Hvar route. The ferry leaves from Gruž. There is also the slight possibility they could sell out in July.

While on Korčula, take the water taxi to one of the even smaller islands for a picnic and swimming.
