What is the best way to get from the train station (Glavni Kolod) to the Airport in Zagreb? I'm thinking it's either taxi or public transportation. If any one recommends public transportation, would you please be so kind as to help me with the specific information (location of bus station, which bus, cost, etc.)? Thanks so much in advance!

Here's info from the start of the Zagreb chapter in Rick's Croatia/Slovenia book: By Plane: Zagreb’s small airport is 10 miles south of the center (tel. 01/626-5222, www.zagreb-airport.hr). A shuttle bus connects the airport to the bus station (2/hour, 30 minutes, 30 kn); from there, you can walk outside and hop on a tram into town (see "By Bus," above). It can be worth the convenience to pay for a taxi right to your hotel (30 minutes; the fair metered rate is around 180-200 kn, but some crooked cabbies might try to charge you more). It's cheaper to take a taxi from the city to the airport--figure 100-150 kn.
