Hi forum, need some help with this segment of my Croatia-Mostar -Montenegro, arriving in 2 weeks.
Have RENTAL CAR, will be in Split for (2) nights and then (2) nights on Hvar then back on our way to Mostar.
SHOULD I TAKE THE CAR FERRY TO HVAR OR LEAVE IT IN SPLIT? catamaran to HVAR and back then get the car for our trip to MOSTAR.

It might depend on where you are staying - and cost of the ferry versus cost of parking in Split. But that is 4 days where you might not actually need a car. Any way you can rearrange so you don’t pay for 4 days of rental, plus parking, that you don’t really need?
It's more about the HASSLE of back n forth versus the money, I already paid for the rental for 20 days, I was thinking leave the car in split and pay parking and then 40$ for (2) for ferry over to HVAR, just enjoy the island with n/car. But my travels around the world have taught me it's ALWAYS nice to have a car available.
For several days, I'd want a car, for one day--meh. I would find it stressful to have to queue and put it on the ferry for such little payoff. It really depends on your plans while on Hvar.
A plus in favor of taking the car might be if you'd enjoy driving across the island to Sucuraj, then head to mainland and Mostar there (check ferry schedules)--unless you had other mainland stops planned for the route.
A car will be of little use in Hvar Town and really difficult to park.
