Mljet to Korcul to Hvar

Hi

I am having a difficult time to get from Mljet to Korcula, without having to go back to Dubrovnik. My wife and I will be staying in Mljet on 17 and 18 September (coming from Dubrovnik). We were thinking of leaving early on the 19th to Korcula old town, to spend the morning there and have lunch. Then off to Hvar (Hvar town) to spend the afternoon and evening there and leave on the morning of the 20th to Split.

Is this at all possible?

Thanks
George

Unfortunately, you're at the mercy of the ferry schedules, so it's only possible is there's a ferry run at that time (did you look at the Jadrolinja or other ferry sites?). There may not be enough traffic from Mljet to Korcula at that time of year for a direct ferry. Maybe it has to run through Dubrovnik for that reason.

I believe the only way you can go north from Mljet to Korcula is in the evening. Boat leaves Dub at 4PM and stops in Mljet and gets to Korcula around 6ish. Krilo does the morning route from split south to Dub then turns it around in the PM to go back north. It then goes to Hvar and cont back to Split with 1-2 other stops. JAdrolina has a morning northern route but not sure it stops at Mljet. Look at both sites for their schedule.

There is only one catamaran a day linking Mljet with Korcula and Hvar, so unfortunately, your plan won't work as it runs in the afternoon.

The boat arrives in Hvar at c 7pm (about the time the sun sets), so you aren't going to see much if you are leaving the following morning.
