Miljet vs. Elaphites

We are spending 3 days in Dubrovnik. For our final day, there are 6,000 cruise ship passengers descending on the city, so we want to get out of there! Can’t decide between Miljet National Park or a cruise around the Elaphiti Islands. For those of you who have visited both, which is of those two is not to be missed in your opinion? Thanks.

We haven't visited Mljet but did the cruise around the Elaphiti Islands, which was relaxing and fun. We love being on the water.

Another great day trip is a trip to Montenegro. We took a bus tour, which we normally aren't crazy about, but it was a great day. The Bay of Kotor was spectacular.

If you haven't already booked your room in Dubrovnik (or if it's cancellable) you might look for rooms in Cavtat instead. It's a beautiful fishing village just south of Dubrovnik, near the Dubrovnik airport. Definitely no cruise ships! Gorgeous little port. You can easily get into Dubrovnik for sightseeing, and can do the Elaphiti and Montenegro trips from Cavtat as well.
