Lodgings in Hvar in September

We are two mature couples with some physical limitations. We're unable to climb or descend more than a few steps/stairs. Since Hvar town is on a hillside we've met with some disappointment in booking small pensions or B&B's. The owners have been so helpful and very honest about the situation of their lodging regarding accessibility.

Basically, we are looking for a place that does not require several stairways to enter it or a long stairway to the beach. The hotels seem terribly expensive and they seem to have internal stairs also. Please help if you've been there and have some advice for us.

We always rent an Airbnb in Hvar and there are a lot of stairs to get there.
There seem to be stairs everywhere in Hvar.

Have you looked at Airbnb listings? You may be able to find something down by the square that does not have steps. There are steps to access most of the beaches.
Many of the beaches are rocky which can make for difficult walking.

A thought- you might check the White Rabbit Hostel on the hostelworld website.
It is on flat ground, about a 2 minute walk from where the boats let off. You would have to share a bath, but they do have private double rooms. I haven't stayed there but a friend has and was very pleased. He noted that they are very strict with the quiet hours beginning at 11 pm so you could sleep. It gets good reviews.
