Hello all. Looking for a way to get from Ljubljana to Pula or Rovinj by public transportation, but haven't seen anything reasonable. We'd prefer not to rent a car and drive but it may come to that. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.

Maybe Flixbus to RIjeka, then another bus? I know you can come via Zagreb, but I would keep looking for other routes in case you might save some time.
Renting a car would incur the cross-border drop-off fee, so not an easy solution (though I would recommend a car once you are in Istria if you are interested in the hill towns).
Where do you depart? If Zagreb, I would take bus from Ljubljana to Zagreb and rent a car there.

When will this be?
Flixbus has a direct bus, that also stops at Rovinj.
In summer there is also a direct train.

Just rent a car. This area is not great at all for public transportation. The roads are very good and well signed.
