Laundry in Motovun

Can anyone tell me if there is a good place to do laundry, or have laundry done in Motovun, Croatia?

Thank you!

It's a rather small place of medieval appearance. I think a laundromat would be really obvious, and I don't remember noticing one. However, I was only in the town briefly during a bus tour.
I'd check with your lodging place for information.

Frankly, I wouldn’t bother with Motovun at all. Pay to park, pay to ride bus, and the biggest draws are a couple of restaurants, one sad little ‘cultural center’, and a small church. There is a TI now there, but it was nearly worthless. I’d choose another Istria destination, perhaps Groznjan, which, while mostly truffles and art galleries, was at least green and cute. And I didn’t see a laundromat in Motovun, either.

I am excited to visit Motovun. We have made plans for a truffle hunt and olive oil tasting, and the people seem just lovely. I also love photography, and I think there will be some interesting opportunities there. We shall see—travel is always full of surprises, some good and some not.

Please post when you’ve seen it. I’d love to hear what you think. Hope you have a better time there than we did.

I disagree with Wanderlust. I love Motovun! We used it as a base to travel around Istria. Groznjan was very charming, but an hour was plenty, I wouldn't stay there. It's easy to get to Piran, even Rovinj and Pula. Motovun isn't a place you go to to see sites, it's for relaxing and wandering. Stay at Villa Maria if you can - the apartment with terrace is heavenly! Her son, Michael, takes visitors truffle hunting with their 3 dogs. Konoba Mondo was our splurge restaurant while in Croatia and Slovenia. Well worth it! Try the polenta with truffles.

Well, we are back! First of all, we were amazed by just how much Croatia has to offer!! We saw quite a lot in a very short amount of time. I would love to go back and spend a bit more time in many of the places we visited. As for Motovun, our visit was perfect. We were there three days, and I felt it was just right. I think the longer you stay, the more you see. Our hotel was at the base of the hill, and we enjoyed walking up to town each morning, coming back after lunch, and returning in the evening, usually having dinner. If walking is difficult for you, Motovun could be a challenge for sure. We walked the city walls, toured the cemetery, peeked in the shops, and took many photographs. I thought the food options were quite good! We had also booked a truffle hunt with Miro Truffiti, as well as an olive oil tasting at B-10 Fusion, both near by and easily accessible. It was a wonderful way to taste local cuisine, meet some absolutely charming people, and enjoy the simple, but best things about Croatia--the sun, the views, the fresh food, and the people. I would very much recommend Motovun. But, there is definitely no public laundry mat :).
