Laundry in Croatia

Last year, we did the Rick Steves Best of Italy tour. Wonderful. The only complaint was how difficult it was to get laundry done. It was so hot and humid, clothes washed in the sink would not dry in 2 days.

We are considering the Best of the Adriatic next year. What has been the experience with laundry and hotel quality in general?

I took the tour a couple of years ago. I don't recall anything particularly nice or lacking at any of the hotels. All well located and had AC where needed.

Split has a full service laundry on Sperun just past the church. Worked out well as it was just past the halfway point of the tour.

We take 2 pair undies to Europe. These are travel undies. They are designed to dry quickly. In Croatia, in June, we had no problems getting our travel undies to dry in a day or so. Taking 3 pair is even more of a guarantee for drying in a reasonable time. We don't take heavy wool, but rather specific quick-dry garments.

Haven't been on the Adriatic tour but have been to Split, which should definitely have some laundromats. I used a self-service one on Solurat ul., just past the Fife Restaurant (fun and excellent btw), but it's been a couple of years so I'm not sure if it's still there. I'm with you on trying to avoid washing clothes in a sink, so I always ask my RS guide and the hotel staff for laundromat suggestions. I didn't do laundry in Dubrovnik or Ljubljana, but those cities most likely have laundromats too.
