Hi, I need some advice about getting around on Korcula Island once we are there. We are a group of 6 and we are staying in a house in Lumbarda. To get from the ferry to the house (with luggage) - are there taxis available? And then to get from Lumbarda to the Old Town, grocery, other, etc. what would be the best option for getting around? We don't mind some walking and buses but I am not clear as to whether this is practical.
Thank you for your assistance.
I would look on google maps or the Lumbarda tourism website or ask you host about grocery options close by--and especially about arrival and departure, as they may be able to arrange a transfer for you. Six and luggage will need a van or two cars. A taxi may need to be prearranged.
There is a bus to Korcula town, but it may not be convenient for your needs (we rode it with schoolchildren, always an experience).
ps I would verify these times on the Autotrans website:
