Itinerary Help - Travel from Rovinj to Dubrovnik, 11 nights

Hello All,

We are visiting Croatia end Sept/early October. I could use some help with adjustment of numbers of days at each destination for the following:

Fly into Pula (arrive around 10 AM local time, RENT CAR
Rovinj - 2 nights
Plitvice Lakes - 1 night
Split - 3 nights
Mostar - 1 night
DROP OFF CAR BEFORE STAY IN OLD TOWN DUBROVNIK
Dubrovnik - 4 nights
Fly out of Dubrovnik

I would appreciate any advice, we are traveling as a couple, enjoy mix of small towns and cities, do not mind taking drives. Thank you!

Thank you for your trip report. I love the details that you included. Let me know if you would change anything in our itinerary, keeping in mind that we will be there in early October (hopefully a few less tourists in Dubrovnik...).

If it was me, I would add a night to Rovinj (for 3 nights), and subtract a day or 2 from Dubrovnik (for 2 or 3 nights). Note that we did no day trips from Dubrovnik during our 2 nights.

I think adding a night to Rovinj would be nice. You’ll probably be kind of beat on arrival. Having two full days also makes a drive to one of the hill towns an option. That night could come from Dubrovnik or Split.
