Is April a terrible time to go to Croatia?

I plan to head to Croatia for 2 weeks starting on April 1st. I will be spending the bulk of the time (8 days total)in the Split and Dubrovnik areas doing day trips from each of the locations and then heading up to Plitvice for two days and flying out of Zagbreb after spending two days there. Wondering if April is an absolutely bad time to go to southern Croatia because of weather, venues/restaurants closed, etc? It is at the top of my list, but I still could change my destination if it is a terrible time to go there and possibly go to Portugal or Scotland.

Thoughts and ideas are greatly appreciated. I haven't been to Europe in 8 years (taken this long to save up) so I really want to make the most of my trip.

For cooler weather, the best time to go to Dubrovnik and Split is between October and May. April is very pleasant with lots of sunshine, blossoming flowers, and temperatures reaching highs of 20°C. Daily average temperatures are 12°C/53°F in April. They can reach a high of 16°C (61°F) and only dip as low as around 7°C (44°F). Average daily rainfall also drops slightly to 104mm over 10 days, meaning the chances of encountering dry and pleasant weather on your trip are more likely.
