Hvar, Korkula, or Brac accommodations with young children

We are traveling to Croatia in July with our 4 and 6-year-old children and looking to stay on one of the southern Dalmatian Islands for four nights. We are hoping to find a hotel with a swimming pool and a sandy beach nearby. Any specific hotel, town, or island recommendations to make it an easy stay? Thanks!

Check out booking.com, as availability may be an issue. Not many places have pools, as there is no natural water sources on the islands.

The Dalmatian islands are pebbles not sand, but mats are available and the sea will be warm, so you don't need a pool.

Also look at Airbnb, as much of the accommodation is in apartments and villas not hotels.

Location depends on where you are coming from and going to, as it's time consuming getting to the islands. Flying into Split- Brac or Hvar (not Hvar town with children of that age) or if flying into Dubrovnik, Mljet or Korcula.

As noted above, the beach won't be sandy. Bring water shoes to protect tender feet.

We loved the Falkensteiner Family Hotel Diadora outside of Zadar. Meets all your criteria, food was excellent and there is a ton to do for kids that age.
