Hotel Recommendations for Split, Hvar and Korcula

Hi Folks:

We will be doing a trip early next September and I was wondering if anyone had any hotel suggestions for Split, Hvar and Korcula? (We already have a hotel for Dubrovnik). We prefer hotels that are centrally located and not off the beaten path.

We may only do Dubrovnik and 2 other islands since don't want to be constantly unpacking but have not decided yet. Will be about 11 nights total. So many eliminate 1 island.

Thanks
Chris

I mostly stayed in apartments and my trip was too long ago for specific suggestions, but all of these places are pretty small, so once you have narrowed down to old town, it will not take too much time to go through your options on a site like Booking.com. I'd try to narrow it down further to places with a balcony/view.

We always stay at the Hotel Peristil in Split. We have stayed there about 4x over the past few years and recommend it to friends. It is family owned and inside the walls of the palace. They provide breakfast and have a lovely restaurant for dinner.

In Korčula’s old town there are two hotels right off the top of my head. Hotel Fabris (we stayed here once. Nice location but small rooms). The other is Aminess Korcula Heritage Hotel. We never stayed there cause they are always booked.

Just an FYI about korčula. Many of the people who rent out rooms or their houses within the old town use booking.com. They use this platform because they might only have 2+ rooms to rent and managing their own website is difficult or more costly. We know cause my husband’s cousin was renting out rooms this way. They aren’t any more because of illness.

We still haven’t made it to Hvar after more than a dozen trips down that way. We’ll be in Croatia the end of the month but will still not make it there. Maybe in 2026.

HIGHLY recommend "Apartment Marina" in Korcula! It is beautifully appointed with anything you may need; killer view of the old town and harbor. We loved having a washing machine after traveling for a week. It was an easy walk to Old Town, restaurants, etc. Sasha picked us up from the port and assisted with our luggage. Marina is a fabulous hostess who is easy to contact. She left us a terrific welcome platter of food and wine. On the day of our departure, our ferry was canceled. Sasha helped us find and book another ferry, and he stored our luggage at his store while we waited for the later ferry. Pictures on Booking's site are accurate. Our stay there was terrific!
