Hotel near Airport in Zagreb

Just curious - why are you wanting to stay by the airport? Are you coming in late in the day and leaving early the next morning and using Zagreb only as a transit site? Because otherwise, Zagreb is pretty cool and worth a day of wandering around.

To piggyback on what Valerie said, it is also a short and inexpensive taxi ride from downtown to the airport.

To be specific, the taxi from our hotel to the airport cost around $20, and didn't take terribly long. I wasn't looking for them, but I didn't notice any hotels near or at the airport. It's pretty small.

My wife and I stayed at Apartment Lucy last week (they're on booking.com). It's right near the Sheraton and about $65. We walked there from the bus station and I walked from there to the train station. My wife had an Uber pick her up at 615am for about $15 for her 820am flight.

Zagreb surprised me a bit. I don't know why I went in with a grim view but it was lovely. I look forward to spending more time there.

The Zagreb airport is outside the main part of town. You will need a short taxi/bus ride to get to locations where you will have choice in your hotel. Certain hotels can arrange pick-up and drop-off on your behalf.

We will be arriving in Zagreb about 8:30 at night after a long day of flights.

We plan to stay there 3 - 4 days. After reading your comments, sounds like we would be better off taking a taxi.

Any suggestions for b&b, or small hotels in Zagreb.

We rented a really nice apartment from InZagreb. Extremely reasonable. Huge apartment and they have quite a few to choose from. They picked us up from the airport too. http://www.inzagreb.com
