There is a park called Nove Starine located near the edge of Solin, Croatia. The entrance is not marked-just a gravel road which leads up a gently sloping hill to the park. At the fork in the road, go left. As of this review, admission is free.
Visitors from Split can take bus number one to the last stop and get off when the bus turns around. The coordinates are 43° 32' 48.38" N 16° 27' 37.16" E. The park is run by a stone sculptor named Ivan Tokic, who is very nice and will happily show you around the park and answer questions. The park is partially located in a pine forest which has some lovely little hiking trails, and Ivan's sculptures are everywhere. A visit to Nove Starine is a nice compliment to a trip to Solin's more well-known attraction, the Roman ruins of Salona.
