Has visiting Plitvice Lakes turned into hell?

I've been reading about the new on line ticket system. I was concerned about the fact that if you reserve tickets but somehow manage to miss your 'window' of one hour to pick them up that you are screwed so I emailed them and they said that yes, if you miss your window you are out of luck, even if you pay for two day tickets you still can't even enter on the second day. Decided I'd go ahead and book anyway. Gone to the website numerous times. Sometimes they only have 'student' tickets listed regardless of the date and time put in. Other times there seemed to be normal selection of tickets. Then I just tried again now and get this screen that says you have to click 'allow notifications' to prove you are not a robot. That leads to wanting me to download a new version of adobe flash. Seems totally bizarre just to buy some tickets. Anyone else had this kind of experience?

That site is hacked. If you "installed flash" you are hacked too.

Yikes! Definitely hacked. If you have a Windows PC, download and run a scan immediately with Malwarebytes to remove any infection it may have introduced.

That's what I thought - thanks for confirming. I'm about ready to give up on Plitvice Lakes, cancel my hotel and just put that day elsewhere. Too bad cause they look really great but not sure I want to show up with out a ticket in mid July and clearly their on line system is terribly flawed.

It's such an amazing place - would hate to see you give up on it so quickly. Clearly people are still going to visit either way - they aren't going to shut down the park just because the website got hacked.1.9 mmol/

We just visited Plivice using the online ticketing system, however bought our tickets before the site was hacked. If you still go, which you definitely should, I recommend getting there first thing when it opens if possible. It will require a two night stay nearby but it’s worth it. By 9:45 am the park was absolutely mobbed with tour buses and groups. Forget getting to see the big fall. If you get there early and make good time, you will get to see all the picture-worthy spots all to yourself.

Just visited the website, which is showing tickets for our dates in September. How do I know if the website is safe again?

Seems safe now - clearly they cleaned it up. Trust me, you'd know if it was still hacked like before.
