We arrive from San Francisco too late to get ferry and just want to get to Hvar. Was wondering if anyone has taken a private boat transfer and could recommend a company? There are many, prices are all high but some much higher than others. Not sure what type of boat would be comfortable after that flight or things to look for? Hoping to not start the trip feeling sea sick but it seems like the way to go - 1 hr from airport to Hvar.

You’ll be far better off overnighting in Split- either in the ancient town of TROGIR right by the airport or in Diocletian’s Palace right by Split’s Ferry port.— and continue the next morning by Krilo catamaran to Hvar. If you are able to find a speedboat company to take you at nightime, it’s going to cost many hundreds of dollars and you won’t be able to see anything at night. Arriving in Hvar at night and trying to find your hotel will also be challenging.

It would probably be cheaper to change the flight than pay for a private boat.
I would check with the Hvar tourist office if you are desperate.

I agree with Kenko. Much cheaper to take a local boat to Havar in the morning
