Has anybody flown into Rijeka airport?

Hello everybody,

I have a flight into Rijeka that arrives about 5 pm (this week) and I’m trying to book an airport transfer into the city. Any suggestions on how much time to allot? I’ve read it’s a very small airport and I will be coming from Europe (Nice via Cologne), but will have luggage to collect and have to go through immigration or customs (or both? I haven’t had enough coffee yet to remember ;)). I was thinking about booking the transfer for 6 pm or 6:15? I mainly don’t want to have to worry about being late. I don’t mind waiting around a bit, but don’t want to have to sit around for too long.

Thanks!

The airport is actually on the Island of Krk, a short ride into Rijeka. I never fly into Rijeka because the airport is so small and i try to avoid small places. I would love to hear your Experience. Anyway, coming from another EU country it shouldn’t take long. I wouldn’t worry about making the driver wait, If you give them your flight info they know how to Judge the time. One hour seems too long.

Used this airport some years ago. Most Croatian airports mow have English websites - look for ENG or a UK flag icon - and will tell you info. With limited arrivals, many have a bus that waits d for each plane. Check if that applies to you, Because of its confusing location it may have better connections than you expect. Zracchna Luka is the new term for airpot by the waty it used too be aerodrome. Rijeka bus depot has an info office. Sretan put!

Croatia is NOT a Schengen member, so there will be passport control to go through.
