Looking at flights to Croatia from Chicago. Thinking of 2-day layover in Dublin on the way over. Has anyone done this?

We did a 2 day (3 night) layover in April from Bordeaux to Seattle on Aer Lingus. We had been to Ireland before but wanted to catch a couple things we hadn't seen. 2 full days was plenty for us to visit Newgrange, Knowth, Hill of Tara then the second day we hit Howth to do the Howth Cliff Walk (stunning!) and a beautiful beach to the south called Killiney Strand. I would think with 2 days one could also see many of the attractions in Dublin city, too.
