Final itinerary advice

Hi all I’ve posted a few times but hopefully this will be my last. I’m pretty sure this is final itinerary but have slight fear it may be too rushed and wanted get any last minute thoughts before pulling trigger on lodging. We’re a couple in early 40s. Love outdoors, beach, hiking, probably wouldn’t mind one or two fun party nights too. We have 16 nights first 2 weeks sept.

Night 1-3: Vienna. Arrive Vienna stay 3 nights (this cannot be changed bc meeting friends
Night 4: Ljubljana. Leave Vienna by train for Ljubljana stay one night
Night 5: bled. pick up rental car in Ljubljana stay in bled
Night 6: kobarid. Drive Vrsic pass dinner at hisa Franco
Night 7: Ljubljana (have drive from kobarid and return car Ljubljana, was thinking either stay Ljubljana again for 1 night or possibly pushing to Zagreb by train after starting Zagreb this will be a Saturday night)
Night 8-9: Zagreb (Sunday/Monday) pick up new car early Tuesday am drive plitvice enter plitvice around 1 at entrance 2 then drive to stay in zadar) other option is just do Zagreb one night get car drive stay plitvice Monday night do plitvice early Tuesday)
Night 10-11: zadar. Drive to zadar Tuesday after plitvice stay Tuesday and Wednesday night
Night 12: split. Drive from zadar Thursday am to Krka stay in split drop car in split
Night 13-14: korcula (or Hvar??)
Night 15-16; Dubrovnik (fly home from there)

So it’s nights 7-14 I’m wondering about. Any help or a vote of confidence would be great! Thanks!

I would vote for a second night in Ljubljana. I found it to be so beautiful and charming. Zagreb is more of a big city, if that’s what you’re looking for. Don’t miss out on Hvar. It’s stunningly gorgeous. From Split you can stop in Hvar for the afternoon then continue on in the early evening to get to Korčula. That worked out perfectly for me last month, and I did two nights in Korčula as well.

Your itinerary covers about 1,000km and 10-12 different overnight destinations in a 16 night trip, including 7-9 one night stops, Some people love that kind of pace while others would say it's too rushed. I hate to suggest adding one night stops, but I'm not sure visiting Plitvice at one of the busiest times of day (early afternoon) would be a very enjoyable way to see it. The one vote of confidence I can give is that if you're happy with the itinerary and it works for you, then go for it regardless of what anyone else has to say.
