Hello - we are planning a trip to Croatia in May 2024 and will end up in Dubrovnik where we would like to take a ferry to Bari, Italy. We are unable to confirm a ferry schedule. I am thinking that it only runs seasonly - does anyone know if it will be running this year? And, if so, when does the schedule become available and where would I find it?
Thank you for any guidance you can give.
According to https://www.croatiaferries.com/dubrovnik-bari-ferry.htm, Jadrolinija runs the ferry on Wednesday at 11:00am.
You could also check Jadrolinija’s website.
Thank you, Barbara. I have checked out this site and it does not have a 2024 schedule available - only 2023. Any idea when it would become available? It is hard to firm up my itinerary without knowing ferry availability.
Can you try and find the ferry info on a website on the Italian side?
Or try this website, tzdubrovnik.hr. If you click on the red banner, English as a choice comes up. Look for the British flag on the banner. Click on Advice for tourists and scroll down to Tourist Information, click on for a link to an e-mail to ask your question. E-mail the TIĆ Pile. ASK your question in english, no problem.
Thank you again, Barbara. This looks like a very helpful site. I have followed your instructions and have sent an email. Hopefully, I will get a positive response.
Very grateful for your kind assistance!
Just curious — how long of a ferry trip is it ?
Thanks
I believe that it is a 7 - 8 hour ferry ride (if it is still running).
I assume that the timetable for this year is not yet complete. It is best to use the contact email or phone number on the website to ask Jadrolinija directly.
Currently the Jadrolinija website shows a timetable for the Split - Ancona route only but not Dubrovnik – Bari.

OMG Paul. So obvious. Duh. Thanks for posting. Sometimes we don’t see the obvious and that’s another reason I love this forum.
Just a reminder, there is direct flight line.
Thank you everyone. As we are wanting to finalize our itinerary we will probably book a flight instead of waiting on the ferry schedule. I appreciate everyone’s assistance.
Me again! Apparently, Ryanair has cancelled flights from Dubrovnik to Bari, Italy and it seems that there are absolutely no direct flights to any destinations in Italy (from Dubrovnik). Also, there are no options to ferry out of Dubrovnik (as of now).I am really open to any suggestions offered as we have pretty much finalized our Croatian itinerary and it has us finishing up in Dubrovnik.
I am holding tickets for ryanair from Bari to Dubrovnik in May (thanks to local.du). Their website still sells tickets. The flights are not every day but the flights appear to still exist.
