Ending our RS trip this June in Dubrovnik. Would like to cross the Adriatic Sea by ferry into Bari, Italy. Is there only one ferry company that makes the trip? We found the one called Jadrolinija, and their schedule doesn't suit us (as they don't travel on Saturdays). Another option would be to go from Dubrovnik to Bar in Montenegro and take the ferry from there. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
Check out www.seat61.com, the famous site for all train travel tips and questions, but, he does ferry travel tips as well.
Yes, Jadrolinija is the only company that does the Dubrovnik-Bari route, Going to Bar is the other option for Bari. A third option I suppose would be to head up to Split, but that would take you to Ancona.
Thanks Paul & George for your replies. I'll look up the www.seat61.com web site, as it looks promising.
We might have to go to plan B, which would be ending our RS tour on a Friday (the last evening anyway) and boarding the ferry at 10 PM that night - we'll only miss the morning "good bye" lunch.
