Ferry concerns about Split - Hvar - Korcula - Dubrovnik

Hi all,

Will be heading to Croatia this June! Have read through quite a few threads but I've gotten some conflicting answers about the possibility of such a trip:

Thursday:

  • Leave from Split for Hvar: ferry from split 11am - 11.55am
  • Quick stopover in Hvar
  • Continue on to Korcula for overnight: ferry from Hvar 4.45pm - 6.10pm

Friday:

  • Full day in Korcula

  • Leave for Dubrovnik: ferry from Korcula 6.20pm - 8.20pm

I referenced https://www.croatiaferries.com/korcula-dubrovnik-ferry.htm#June and https://www.bookaway.com/ to check the ferry timings, but I'm not sure if these timings are accurate so I'll just like to check with everyone if anyone has done such a journey before? I do understand that people like to stay longer in Hvar but I am not too keen on the crowds that people have been talking about and neither am I a huge beach fan so I won't need very long. I have to be in Dubrovnik ultimately as I am flying out from the airport there!

Greatly appreciate whoever can give me some insight into this ;)

I go directly to the source for ferry schedules. I know of Jadrolinija and Krilo. Any other operators are I believe indicated on the results when you search the Croatia ferries website. If you confirm, then you should be all set.
If you cannot take a ferry from Korcula for whatever reason, there is also bus service.

In 2023, I purchased my ferry tickets on-line at home for the 1-hour ferry from Split to Hvar and the 75 minute ferry from Hvar to Korcula. I used the Krilo ferry company and rode the passenger catamaran ferries - very easy & convenient. I purchased tickets through their website.

I really liked both Hvar & Korcula, staying overnight at both of them.

Thanks for the clarifications! Would anyone be able to recall also if there was luggage storage at the port of Hvar, where the ship stops? I was looking online for some websites but I'm unsure if they're legit

Hi, I can’t help you with the luggage storage question since I stayed overnight in Hvar, and my B&B owner met me at the ferry to carry my suitcase up the steep steps.

I would think there has to be luggage storage--look for signs that say "garderoba." If all else fails, ask the tourist office.
