Hi, has anyone travelled from Brac to Hvar? We want to stay in Bol for 2 nights and take a ferry to Hvar - but have to be out of the apartment at about 10 am. But the ferry to Hvar is only late in the afternoon.
Is there an easy way to get to Hvar earlier in the morning, or am I missing something?
The alternative is to rather stay on Hvar 2 nights and Korcula 2 nights, but I find the same problem with a ferry between the two.
Only late afternoon.
We want to stay 2 nights on 2 islands, but want to catch a morning ferry between the two. Is this not possiblie?
You didn't say when you're going so it's hard to answer. Did you look at all the ferry schedules (the only one I've used was jadrolina..I don't know about others)? If you've already exhausted that option, then unfortunately, the schedules are what they are. In off-season, it's even harder to hop from one island to another without and in-between stop like Split. Also, even though you'll be in Bol, check the ferry schedule from Supetar as well (even if it means having to take a bus to Supetar, it's still an alternative worth investigating). Basically, check all the potential itineraries (from different departure points on the islands) before giving up.
I am assuming you mean you checked the Jadrolinija ferry http://www.jadrolinija.hr/en/sailing-schedule/local-lines-2017. There is also a catamaran (passenger only) service operated by Krilo. (Jadrolinija operates ferries and catamarans). http://www.krilo.hr/en/sailing_schedule.html
Anyway, check dates and compare the two options. If you are still stuck, maybe we can suggest some other options--but sometimes you just have to work around their schedules.
Your plan may have to involve a bus or taxi (always ask your host about a transfer--it has been my experience that you will almost always get a ride, free or for a small fee). You could probably find someone to take you across to Jelsa and then taxi from there, but note that is a pretty long drive.
Thank you. Yes I did check Jadrolinija. It is for July.
