I'm planning 2 weeks plus a day or two more for late June/July 2020. We're an active couple in our late 50's who love being outdoors, hiking, beach time, exploring the country and small coastal towns & island life. Here's what I have so far.
Fly Seattle to Dubrovnik and stay in Cavtat for a night or two. Head to Kotor for 2 nights to do some hiking and a day trip to Perast. Back to Dubrovnik for a night or two then take a ferry to Korcula for 3-5 nights (too long?). Ferry from Korcula to Split then head back out to Vis for 3-5 night (again too long?). Ferry back to Split for a night or two and fly back to Seattle.
We like to settle in to a place a bit rather than trying to see EVERYTHING in the whole country and change places every couple of nights. I'd like to end the trip on one of the islands. I don't think I can get from Korcula to Vis without going back to Split.
Thanks for any feedback.
Stay in Perast and visit Kotor. After Dubrovnik you may be disappointed with Kotor. The Bay is pretty though and there are a few good things to do in Perast. If your schedule allows the coast of Montenegro has some beautiful towns and the mountains inland are Al's great for hiking and sight seeing. Fishing is good on the coast and in the mountains.
