Hi we are planning to spend time Croatia in early June. There are four of us: me, my wife and two sons, ages 8 and 10. I am having trouble figuring out if our itinerary is workable, because I can't find great transport options for all of the legs of travel within Croatia.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
For Dubrovnik to Hvar see krilo.hr for the daily afternoon catamaran.
Hvar to Vis. There are no direct services this day, so you will have to go via Split. Jadrolinija.hr for ferry/catamaran services. It's 1 hour from Hvar town to Split or 2 hours on the ferry from Stari Grad, then a further 2.5 hours out to Vis plus waiting time in Split, so probably 7 hours door to door. That's a long transfer for only 2 days on Vis. It's the same ferry back to Split.
Catamarans need to be booked online in advance, ferries just turn up on the day.
I do love Vis, but in this case, an easier schedule might be Dubrovnik>Korcula>Hvar>Split.
Korcula is a pretty island and I think your family will enjoy it.
