We will be in Dubrovnic June 8th for four nights, then going to Korcula for four nights, then on to Mostar. We dont plan on having a car in Dubrovnic and we dont think we really need one on Korcula but then we will need one for Mostar and beyond. My question is ,are we better to rent one when we leave Dubrovnic because we need to get to Korcula anyways and then take the car Ferry from Orebic, or take the bus from Dubrovnic and then return and rent the car in Dubrovnic(or somewhere else closer) after Korcula. I don`t see that there are very many ferry options directly from Dubrovnic to Korcula.

You really don't need a car for Korcula. It is beautiful and small. You can take the ferry from Dubrovnik to Korcula. I don't know about driving around Mostar since we just day tripped there and felt that was enough time. Parking in Dubrovnik is also a pain.
