Does anyone know if it is faster/easier to get to Solcava for visiting Logarska Dolina from Lake Bled or from Ljubljana? Just looking up distances, it sounds about the same, but Rick's book says it takes longer than the distances tell me. We are just trying to decide whether to stay in Bled or Ljubljana the night before.

www.viamichelin.com is a useful site for driving plans and times. I would work with the longer timing estimate, whichever source it comes from. Some of those roads can be winding, speed limit drops every time you go through a town, some have construction or high traffic portions, etc. I found driving in Slovenia to be easy but can't recall anything about my personal travel time or route selection.
