I'll be traveling from Kotor, Montenegro to Split, Croatia by bus. From there I want to catch a ferry to Hvar. I've read the buses don't exactly run on time so I prefer to wait and book my ferry ticket depending on when I get into Split. Just a foot passenger not a car. Thanks!

I prefer to wait and buy tickets once I’m there because there are about 17 daily departures in July and August for the one-hour trip from Split for Hvar and sometimes booking in advance involves the stress of hunting down either the ticket office or the boat you’ve already paid for. Almost all ferries depart from Split’s main pier near Diocletian’s Palace.
