Has anyone taken the ferry from Split to Hvar? We are staying at Villa Jagodna and wondering how far it is from the ferry and how to get there as we are not renting a car?

Have you tried google maps? I have found it fairly accurate for mapping my own walking routes. Also, note there are ferries from Split that disembark at Stari Grad (operated by Jadrolinija) and catamarans that disembark at Hvar town (operated by Jadrolinija and Krilo), so make sure you check the correct route. If you have unmanageable amounts of luggage, contact the villa--they can often recommend a car service if they don't do it themselves.
Oh what the hell--I just googled it myself. You are going to need a car to pick you up. It is not near either town. Ask the owner about taxi availability and any other transfer options.
