Diocletian’s Palace

I know most of Diocletians palace is free but I want to visit some of the paid parts like the cathedral, temple of Jupiter and the bell tower. Is there any way to pre buy these tickets online?? Or do I have to wait till I’m in split and wait in line?

Thanks!

Before purchasing your tickets, ensure that all of those things will actually be open. We bought ours at the official ticket office, however they failed to tell us that some things were closed that day due to water issues. After discovering this, we returned to the ticket office, and they refused to issue a partial refund.

I was staying right by the ticket office and passed by frequently. There was never any line to speak of. I’m not convinced many people even bother with entering the ticketed areas. The bulk of visitors and tour groups seem content to just walk around, and the sites themselves weren’t at all crowded.

Just wait until you’re at Diocletian’s Palace to buy your tix. Be sure to walk toward the area near the palace Tower close to its southeast corner as the archaeologists are uncovering several sections of the palace for the first time.
