Anyone know of a company or individual that will provide a driver/guide for a day trip from Zagreb to Mrkopalj and Rijeka? Either just a driver and we rent a car or a car and driver would work.

We rented an apartment from this family-run company. We also used them for airport pickup. They're extremely nice. They do have some advertised tours on their website. Check out Zagreb Tours (http://www.zagrebtours.com/en/). My wife and I hired a private guide for a day tour last year and loved it. Igor and his staff were responsive to email and very easy to work with. It was also easy to customize the tour to our tastes -- and even some customization as we went. The company does not offer a tour specific to Mrkopalj or Rijeka, but those locations are well within their service area. Look at their current offerings on their website to get an idea of price, and send an email and see if they could provide a custom experience. Good luck!
